Axent focuses on plus size fashion. The ideas surrounding fashion are transforming. For a long time, there was the ideal of the strict size zero, but more and more brands, media and shoppers are embracing the idea of different, unique, beautiful body shapes and sizes. That plus size and trendy fashion go hand in hand is exactly the philosophy of Axent. Our style: business chic with a sporty touch. The trendy boutique not only offers the latest fashion trends and quality brands for plus size women's fashion, but also spreads a point of view: body positivity. We believe that plus size fashion offers an excellent expression of character for the self-confident, self-assured woman with style and a weakness for beautiful fashion.

“My shop is my life and vice versa.” Words from Axent founder Marianne Van Rompaey. With almost twenty years of experience in fashion, she knows what she stands for as an entrepreneur. Her mission is to eliminate the insecure feelings of plus-size women. Ultimately, it is a matter of seeing first, then believing: that with the right plus-size clothing you can indeed look great. At Axent, we do this boutique-specific specialist work with a lot of passion and drive.

The market for plus size fashion has grown enormously in recent years, and the new plus size brands know which designs, fabrics and prints do justice to a body with more curves. Clothes with an elegant cut, that match the hair and face, and that fall like a glove, can make every customer look stunning. Marianne: “I love nothing more than seeing curvy women radiate in their clothes”.

Since 2015, Axent has also been selling online, but our origins and our heart lie in our physical clothing store in Herent. It has a personal, warm atmosphere, ideal for connecting shopkeeper and customer. The space also gives Marianne the opportunity to provide better professional advice, building on her background as a color and style consultant. In this, she always seeks a balance between her expertise and the opinion of the wearer: “I have my own thoughts about what suits a customer best, because I have been in the business for years, but ultimately the woman must find her reflection beautiful. That is important.”
